KCBS Discusses Attorney General Sessions' Recusal With Steve Woolpert

KCBS interviewed Politics Professor Steve Woolpert about Attorney General Jeff Sessions recusing himself from a Justice Department investigation of Russian election tampering. Woolpert, whose academic research includes the U.S. Constitution and the Supreme Court, commented on possible sanctions Sessions might face for initially saying he not been in contact with any Russian representatives during his congressional confirmation hearings, then later admitting he had twice met with Russia’s ambassador. Various intelligence agencies are conducting investigations into Russia's involvement in attempting to influence the outcome of the U.S. presidential election.
