Abstract

Saint Mary's Global Business Professor Marco Aponte was interviewed by KCBS News about the current political crisis in Venezuela. Aponte, whose academic research focuses on leadership and cross-cultural management, has written extensively about political leadership in Venezuela, his native country. Aponte spoke with the KCBS about the South American nation’s political divisions arising from President Nicolas Maduro's claim to the country's leadership after a reported fraudulent election, and the U.S. backing of opposition leader Juan Guaido as Venezuela's legitimate leader.
