Abstract

The Chicago Tribune reported on research by Saint Mary’s Assistant Professor of Anthropology Anna Corwin. The story “Talking to the elderly shouldn't include baby talk,” includes an interview with Corwin and discusses her academic research on “elder speak,” a manner of speaking with the elderly that is similar to the way people address small children or even pets.
