Saint Mary's Professor Monica Fitzgerald appeared on the Sunday FOX2-KTVU-TV Mornings on 2 news show to discuss Senator Kamala Harris officially announcing that she’s running for president. Harris made the case for her presidency at a rally in Oakland on Sunday afternoon. Fitzgerald covered a range of topics with KTVU, including how the Democratic party was invigorated after the midterms, and the potential of Harris being a standout choice for voters among a crowded pool of Democratic candidates for the Oval Office. An associate professor who studies women and gender issues in American politics and history, Fitzgerald also chairs and teaches in the College's Justice, Community and Leadership department.
