Abstract
The Manila Times features a commentary about the rise of the humanistic management movement written by Saint Mary’s Professor Jyoti Bachani. In the opinion piece “ Shifting Management From Control to Inspiration ,” Bachani, who teaches in SEBA’s Management and Entrepreneurship department, writes that the growing international movement is “driving the change to have management embrace the value of human dignity and social well-being, over and above profits and productivity.” An associate professor at the College, Bachani’s research interests include strategy making in business and nonprofit organizations, management of technology and innovation, and mindful use of technology for creating sustainable futures and humanistic management. She is also a founding member of the U.S. chapter of the International Humanistic Management Association.
