Abstract
The announcement of JCL Professor Monica Fitzgerald's appointment to the California Commission for Children and Families, also known as First 5 California, was carried in a regional press release from the commission and Saint Mary's. The commission is charged with improving the lives of children and their families in the Golden State through a comprehensive system of education, health services, childcare, and other crucial programs.
