KCBS News: White House Cites Executive Privilege on Kavanaugh Documents

Research output: Other contribution

Abstract

During a live interview with KCBS News, Politics Professor Steve Woolpert recently discussed the precedent for the White House citing executive privilege and initially withholding 100,000 documents about Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s time in the White House as a part of the administration for former President George W. Bush. The White House's decision took place days before the confirmation hearings for Kavanaugh, President Donald Trump’s pick for the Supreme Court, were about to begin. A longtime professor of politics at the College, Woolpert’s academic research includes the U.S. Constitution, civil rights, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
