Abstract
Saint Mary's Politics Professor Steve Woolpert joined the KCBS news radio morning news show on Thursday, April 18, for a live discussion about the release of the redacted Report On The Investigation Into Russian Interference In The 2016 Presidential Election, by Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Woolpert, whose academic research includes the US Constitution, commented on the report’s findings and the significance of the redactions as well. He noted that the obscured sections of the more than 440 page memo could refer to ongoing investigations by various agencies, and that the other shoe, or shoes have yet to drop regarding the investigation of the 2016 election. He also noted that Democrats could pursue congressional action against President Donald Trump as a result of ten possible instances of obstruction of justice that are documented in the report.
