Abstract


The author discusses how psychoanalysis may help writers deal with anxiety due to challenges associated with academic writing. Topics explored include the prevalence of writer's block and its impact on scholarly writing, psychoanalytic theories which may be applied to ease the pressure early in the writing process, and the use of meditation to enhance writing acknowledged by psychoanalyst and author Thomas Ogden.
