Nicole M. Brown specializes in historical sociology, political consumerism, black feminisms and critical technology studies. Dr. Brown earned her PhD in Sociology from the University of Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), and MSEd from Illinois State University. She has 15+ years of experience in student affairs and academic affairs. Her research and intellectual curiosities relate to consumerism, social movements, methods and methodologies (specifically archival and computational analyses), as well as knowledge production processes.
