Personal profile


Megan began her professional dance career in 1997 with the San
Francisco Ballet. Throughout her nine-year career, Megan was featured
in ballets by many noted choreographers such as Stanton Welch,
Christopher Wheeldon, Paul Taylor, Val Caniparoli, George Balanchine,
Helgi Tomasson, and Mark Morris, including the title role in Morris's
"Sylvia." During the latter part of her dance career, Megan was
enrolled in the Liberal Education for Arts Professionals (LEAP) program
at St. Mary's College of California. Upon graduating from St. Mary's,
Megan retired from professional dancing and was accepted into the
Graduate School of Education at the University of California at
Berkeley where she received single-subject teaching credentials in
English and Social Science as well as a Masters in Education. Megan
spent two years teaching Humanities to middle and high school students
in the San Lorenzo and Berkeley school districts. In June of 2008,
Megan returned to LEAP at St. Mary's College where she now serves as
Program Manager, Academic Advisor, and Core Faculty.
