About

Laura Mooiman, LCSW is an educational consultant and a Project Director for the Wellness Program and Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) at Napa Valley Unified School District. She provides professional development training, technical assistance, evaluation and implementation services for school-wide discipline and safety programs to schools and school districts. Her services are focused on the areas of: Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), effective supervision practices, school safety and violence prevention, Multi-tiered Systems of Supports (MTSS), bullying and harassment prevention and response, Wellness Centers and restorative practices. Laura holds a Masters in Social Work degree from UCLA and has over 20 years’ experience as a social worker in elementary, middle, and high schools, special education, County Probation, County Mental Health, Child Protective Services, and in Private Practice. Laura is a consultant for multiple NIH and IES research grants and works in collaboration with University of Oregon Institute on Violence and Destructive Behavior Director, Jeffrey Sprague.
